Omuramba - Swan 43

The boom fridge

Potatoes and onions were packed in the plastic crates and stored on deck underneath hessian cloth. We threw sea water over the crates every day and the evaporation kept evrything cool and fresh. When we arrived in Antiqua two months later we still had fresh veg. Nice. The low windage from the hank-on jib helps us smash through the seas like a train and there´s minimal heel (we carried an 11´ 6" beam). She was a tough old lady.
