Hanging out Downtown

It was a shoot for a good friend in the City and I had to do a little chopper shooting Downtown, very close to where I lived and only a stones throw from the World Trade Center. Just like in the Old Days, we had to remove the door and hang out the side with a silly rig. Very windy. But it was awesome, and only a few pilots are allowed to operate over Manhattan. It's the extreme opposite to flying over Soweto.
But in both cases I used the same rig.
That's Trinity Church beneath me - it's Episcopal, historic and its at 75 Broadway. I lived further North at 258, right opposite City Hall. Our Mayor at the time was the very charming Ed Koch.
