Prehistoric RocksBuilt about five thousand years ago. Some of the smaller bluestones used were sourced about 150 to 200 miles away in South Wales. It's an eerie feeling I get when I think that people were working with these massive stones right where we were standing. It's a feeling you don't get in other places I've lived in. The last time I really felt this eerie feeling was in the Lantau Island, not far from Kowloon. The large rocks on the side of the path leading to a The Big Buddha were worn smooth and shiny from the millions of hands touching them as they passed by. That gave me the same feeling. The other place I got that same eerie feeling is in the ocean, hundreds of miles from the nearest land. The same eerie feeling. |
