We shot a lot of videos on the streets in NY guerrilla style. It took too long and was far too expensive to do it through regular channels. We used police extras (off duty NY cops) to come in uniform and stand around waiting for cameo performances. It made us look legit. My producers were on top of everything and we always completed every shoot on time and in budget. And we had a wicked time doing it. I had a contract with Capital and was the original Capital NY video director, writer and shooter and we churned out stuff for MTV. The company was called Picture Music on 23rd Street. I took it over after a couple of years and we moved to 101 Fifth Avenue. We also made a ton of commercials and won a whole bunch of awards.
